Over a Century of Lysol
Since 1889, Lysol has been helping families do more for health.
Since introducing our first disinfectant to helping end a cholera epidemic, we’ve steadily expanded and improved our products to meet the world’s ever-changing needs.
In 1918, Lysol was first touted as an effective means of fighting the flu virus. In 1930, the Lysol Brand Disinfectant Liquid was introduced to drug stores and hospitals. Today, Lysol’s cleansers, disinfectants, and hand soaps are widely used in homes, schools, and businesses around the world.
As part of our Mission for Health, we have partnered with several health-conscious organizations, including the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) and the Canadian Institute of Child Health (CICH). Lysol is also active in supporting disaster relief efforts, both nationally and globally.
